Courtside

Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the founder of Courtside, a sole proprietor based in India ("Courtside", "we", "us") for using Courtside. By signing in, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Courtside.

1. Who can use Courtside

  • You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
  • Courtside is built for professional use: freelancers, consultants and businesses. If you use it for a business, you confirm you're allowed to bind that business, and "you" includes it.
  • You need a Google account and must follow Google's terms for it.

2. The service

Courtside connects to your Gmail to sort your email, draft replies and follow-ups, track replies you're waiting on and unpaid invoices, and send the emails you approve. We may improve, change or remove features. If a change materially reduces what you pay for, we'll tell you in advance and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused period.

Courtside is new. We work hard to keep it available and correct, but it may sometimes be unavailable, delayed or make mistakes (see sections 5 and 12).

3. Your account

  • Keep your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in to it can use your Courtside account.
  • Tell us promptly at support@courtsidepay.com if you think your account has been misused.
  • One person per account. Don't create accounts to get repeated free trials.

4. Your email and content

Your email, drafts and attachments remain yours. You give us a limited licence to access, process, store and transmit them only as needed to provide Courtside to you, as described in the Privacy Policy, and for no other purpose. This licence ends when you delete your account, except for what the Privacy Policy says we keep.

You're responsible for the emails you send through Courtside and for having the right to send them, including any attachments and personal data of others they contain.

5. AI features

  • Summaries, categories, drafts, invoice amounts and follow-up suggestions are produced automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Always review a draft before you send it. Nothing is sent to anyone unless you press Send, or you switch on automatic invoice reminders; each of those waits 24 hours after it's drafted so you can read, edit or stop it, and you're responsible for what it says.
  • AI output isn't legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Check important details such as amounts, dates, bank details and commitments yourself.
  • Emails you receive may try to manipulate AI ("ignore your instructions and…"). Courtside guards against this, but stay alert, especially to requests for money, passwords or changed bank details.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Courtside to:

  • send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, phishing, malware or harassment;
  • break any law, including anti-spam, data protection and export-control laws, or infringe others' rights;
  • access accounts or email you're not authorised to access;
  • probe, overload, reverse-engineer or get around Courtside's security, limits or billing; or
  • resell Courtside or use it to build a competing service.

Google's Gmail and Workspace policies also apply to the email you send through Courtside.

7. Plans, free trial and payment

  • Free plan: free, with the daily limits shown in the app. Limits may change with notice.
  • Free trial: new accounts get Pro, once per email address, with no card, until 7 days after the first invoice that got a reminder in Courtside is paid or marked paid, and for at most 60 days. When it ends you move to the free plan automatically; you're never charged unless you subscribe.
  • Pro: billed monthly or yearly in advance at the price shown at checkout (standard $12/month or $120/year, before tax). Pro renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Before a yearly renewal we'll email you a reminder at least 7 days ahead. For Indian cards and UPI, your bank also sends a pre-debit notice, as RBI rules require for recurring payments.
  • Founding price: the first subscribers may get a lower founding price, kept for as long as that subscription stays active. It ends if the subscription is cancelled or lapses.
  • Regional price: the India price is for customers resident in India paying with an Indian payment method. If it's obtained otherwise (for example, through a VPN), we may move the subscription to standard pricing from the next renewal, with notice.
  • Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles invoices and taxes (GST, VAT or sales tax). Their terms apply to the purchase. We never see your card, UPI or bank details.
  • Failed payments: Pro stays on during the payment provider's retry period. If payment still fails, the account moves to the free plan; your data isn't deleted.
  • Price changes: we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.

8. Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel any time in Settings → Plan → Manage billing, with the same ease as subscribing. Pro continues until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • Get-paid guarantee: on your first paid Pro subscription, if no overdue invoice that Courtside tracks for you is paid in the first 30 days, you can ask for a full refund of that first payment in Settings → Plan, up to 37 days after it started. One per person. Pro ends when the refund is made.
  • 14-day guarantee: if you're unhappy, email support@courtsidepay.com within 14 days of your first Pro payment for a full refund.
  • Consumers in the EU and UK have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from the contract. By starting Pro immediately, you ask us to begin the service during that period; if you withdraw, you'll be refunded in full under the guarantee above.
  • Otherwise, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, or as stated in section 2.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Courtside and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is required to be closed by law. Where reasonable we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and to download your data. If we close a paid account without cause, we'll refund the unused period.

When an account closes, we delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 4, 11 to 15 and 17 survive termination.

10. Google and other services

Courtside depends on Google's Gmail API, on Cloudflare and Dodo Payments. We're not responsible for their services or for changes they make, though we'll work to keep Courtside working. Courtside isn't affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Google. Gmail is a trademark of Google LLC.

11. Our property and your feedback

Courtside's software, design and brand belong to us. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Courtside under these terms. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

12. Disclaimer

Except as these terms expressly say, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Courtside is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise Courtside will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will catch every email, reply or payment.

13. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data; and
  • our total liability for all claims relating to Courtside is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and USD 50 (or its equivalent).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Your responsibility for misuse

If you use Courtside for business, you'll compensate us for reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees) arising from third-party claims caused by your breach of these terms or the emails you send, except to the extent we caused them.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next paragraph, disputes will be decided by the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, which have exclusive jurisdiction.

Please contact us first at support@courtsidepay.com; most problems can be fixed quickly. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims in your local courts. Consumers in India may also approach the consumer commissions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. EU consumers can use their national dispute bodies.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then and get a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period. Continuing to use Courtside after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

17. General

  • These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Courtside.
  • If a part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • Not enforcing a right straight away doesn't waive it.
  • You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We may transfer them to a successor of Courtside with notice to you, provided your rights aren't reduced.
  • Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
  • We'll send notices to your account email address; you can reach us at the contact below.
